BumpMap
Everyday drives, turned into road-condition data: automatic detection for drivers, and open, corroborated insight for the municipalities that maintain the roads.
For Drivers
Your phone detects bumps and potholes automatically as you drive, mapped live by GPS. Opt in to share anonymized reports and help build coverage in your area.

Automatic detection
Every jolt above a calibrated threshold is captured and classified low, medium, or high — derived from accelerometer force, not an official pavement rating.
Privacy by design
Raw routes never leave the phone. Shared reports are trimmed near trip start and end, rounded to roughly 11 metres, dated rather than timestamped, and tagged with a rotating anonymous key.
Independent corroboration
A report is marked confirmed once multiple independent devices flag the same stretch of road. Single reports stay visible, but faint, until they're corroborated.
Open, queryable data
The map is public and free to use. Query the same GeoJSON feed directly at /v1/map — no account or API key required.
Planned next: aggregated route coverage so smooth roads show up too — not only reported bumps — and a verification pass that checks whether a reported defect was actually repaired.
